How we got here

2014

The beginning

A leap of faith at the London College of Communication

At the end of my first year studying Graphic Design at one of London's leading art universities, I made a decision that would define everything that followed: I left. University wasn't my path, and deep down I knew it. What I didn't know was what came next.

I had always been drawn to fashion — dreaming of becoming a fashion photographer, a graphic designer, someone creative. What I never imagined was that I'd end up designing and making my own clothing from scratch.

2014

Three months later

I taught myself to knit

"Within three months of leaving university, I had taught myself to knit. What started as a creative outlet became something I couldn't put down."

Elizabeth An'Marie was born from that impulse — a need to create, to make something real with my hands. I began designing fashionable knitwear using only the finest materials: 100% Merino wool, 100% Pima cotton — fibres that feel as good as they look, crafted to last a lifetime.

Then & now

From hand-knitting to helping you knit

For years, I hand-knitted every piece, photographed every look, designed every website, wrote every word. A one-woman brand built on obsessive attention to quality and a genuine love of the craft.

Now, Elizabeth An'Marie is evolving. The same care and detail that went into every stitch I ever made is now poured into the patterns and resources I create — so that you can experience that same joy of making something beautiful with your own hands.

Our digital patterns are designed for knitting machines and written specifically for beginners — clear, encouraging, and tested in our London studio before they ever reach you. Each pattern lives in Notion, with built-in mini tutorials, community access, and our personal support throughout your access period.

And soon — kits. Everything you need in one beautifully packaged box, sent from our studio straight to yours.
