Smiley Chunky Grandad Jumper (Chunky Weight) Pattern

The Smiley chunky Grandad has been purposely designed to be fully customisable with unlimited combinations to machine knit as you wish. It also means that you can come back and knit it again and again with a different version each time.

Since this pattern uses every needle on the knitting machine, those wanting to knit a larger size will need to adjust accordingly. You can test different tension settings to achieve the desired fit or knit the garment in panels, adding extra fabric to the left and right sides as needed.

• Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran, 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100 g (3.5 oz) / 150 yds (137.5 m)

Knitting Needle Size: US 8 - 9 (5.0 - 5.5 mm)

A (main colour) - 5 skeins of colour #822 (Pumpkin)

B (second colour)  - 5 skein of colour #894 (Strawberry Cream)

• I use the Silver Reed SK155 Chucky Machine but you can use any Chucky machine (I'm in the process of adapting our chunky knit design to be made on a standard gauge machine)

• Yarn Weight: Aran
